Brief Introduction to
the
Troupe
上海京剧院是经由国家文化部评定的国家重点京剧院团，于1955年在原华东实验剧院京剧团、上海人民京剧团的基础上组建成立，首任院长为京剧艺术大师周信芳先生。
上海京剧院浸润于上海特有的人文气息，形成了独特的艺术风格，以海纳百川之气概，聚成人才荟萃、剧目纷繁之大观。
Shanghai
Peking Opera House is a significant national opera troupe granted by
the Ministry of Culture. It was established in 1955 by combining the
Peking Opera Troupe of Eastern China Experimental Theater and
Shanghai People’s Peking Opera Troupe with the first director being
Mr. Zhou Xinfang, the prestigious master of Peking
Opera.
Particularly influenced by Shanghai culture, Shanghai
Peking Opera House formed its unique diversified style with
embracement of various schools and pool of
talents.

Synopsis
赤壁战后，曹操求贤若渴，网罗人才，名士杨修为曹操赏识重用，政绩斐然。然而，这两位卓绝的英才之间，却上演了一出盘根错节的性格悲剧。在无情的撞击中，两个高傲的灵魂，一个过早陨落，另一个也陷入了痛苦和绝望……
After
the Battle of Red Cliff, Cao Cao was eager to look for talents. A
famous scholar Yang Xiu won Cao’s favor with outstanding political
talents. Nevertheless, a tragedy took place between the two
prominent and equally proud men due to contradictory personalities.
Finally the ruthless conflicts ended up with one dying young, the
other suffering pain and desperation ……
